ABOUT THE ARTIST

This is where I am suppose to tell you about myself, so here goes.

I am a mostly self-taught artist, although I have taken my fair share of courses and workshops over the years. I have always loved art, drawing and painting. I know that sounds a little cliched, but that is just the way it is. I started taking art classes in my teens, from a beautiful, patient and very talented Mrs. Carmichael.

I paint what I love, what moves me and makes me feel alive, the beauty in the everyday things and places around us. Living in Nova Scotia provides an abundance of inspiration for me, trees, forests, shorelines, flowers and colourful houses.

In 2017 we sold everything (yes, everything!!) and spent 5 years living abroad, first in Ecuador and then in Portugal. We are now back in Canada and settled in beautiful Nova Scotia.

I have exhibited in a variety of events over the years including, the Oxford Studio Tour for many years and various “Art in the Park” type fairs and festivals. My work has been sold on 3 continents.
